Blooming Report- May 16th

Crabapple trees have been in full bloom for over a week. Some are even starting to lose their beautiful flowers. You'll start to notice their leaves emerging soon. Now is your time to go out and pick a few blooms for your kitchen table centerpiece.

Royal Raindrops Crabapples have a deep purple leaf color throughout the spring/summer and Prairifire Crabapples have a mixture of deep purple and green leaves.  Newer varieties of Crabapple trees produce a few small hard berries. They are not messy and provide a great appearance and character to the tree. Spring Snow Crabapple, however, has been bred to not produce any berries at all.

Whether it be the bright, pink or white cluster of flowers in the spring, the red, green, or gold crabapples, or the green and purple leaf color in the spring, you will not be disappointed with the wonderful appearance of a Crabapple variety.

The large pointy, yellow cluster flowers, sticking out among the dark green large pointed leaves, is a Yellow Buckeye! A great dense shade tree that will add color in the Spring to your beautiful yard. Bonus- it will have a yellow/red fall color too.
