Why it rocks:

Ivory Silk Japanese Tree Lilac is a small tree or a large shrub. In tree form it may grow to as much as 30' tall and 20' wide with an oval-rounded crown. Late spring to early summer it will show off with large plumes of fragrant, creamy-white flowers. The plumes will give way to clusters of brown capsules that continue into winter. Reddish-brown peeling bark is a substantial feature on younger branches, gradually turning gray with age. Noted for having a good resistance to some of the major pests typical of lilacs, such as powdery mildew, scale and borers.
