Prairie Gold® Aspen has light green trembling leaves that transition to a yellow-gold in the fall, contrasting against its chalky white bark. Tolerant of heat, drought, and Midwestern humidity, Prairie Gold is quickly becoming an up-and-coming Aspen variety. Useful as a privacy & screening tree and for adding shade and beauty.

Prairie Gold® Aspen is an adaptable and durable Aspen variety. Its narrow oval to pyramidal form lends itself to tight spaces. This tree is a top pick and selected for its tolerance to extreme heat, drought, and typical Midwestern humidity. Prairie Gold’s light green leaves tremble softly with the breeze and contrast against its thin white bark. Its leaves turn a yellow-gold in the fall and will add beauty and interest to your landscape.

 

Where to put it:

Prairie Gold® Aspen's narrow oval form reaches about 15 ft wide at full maturity. Its mature spread makes it an ideal choice for planting along property edges, in a landscape berm, or
wherever screening or shade is needed.

 

What it needs:

Prairie Gold® Aspen prefers well-drained soil and will tolerate wet soils, including clay, and some dry site conditions. Please, be sure to follow our watering guidelines for the first few growing seasons until the root system is well-established.
