Rugged Ridge® Maple has earned its name. It is one tough tree with its heavy, vigorous bark. Much like the State Street Maple, it changes to a vibrant yellow in the fall. The deeply furrowed, corky bark makes the tree very impressive.

Where to put it:

Because of its versatile nature, the Rugged® Ridge Maple can be planted in cities and private backyards. It is a spectacular street tree. This large shade tree needs to be planted at least 15ft from buildings.

Rugged Ridge® Maple is fast growing, tough, and very adaptable which makes it extremely easy to care for. Be sure to follow our watering guidelines for the first few growing seasons until the root system is well-established.
