True North™ Kentucky Coffee Tree was introduced in 2015 through the University of Minnesota’s Woody Landscape Plant Breeding & Genetics Project. True North’s narrow and upright-oval form, strong branching structure, and lack of fruit and seeds allow it to be versatile in the landscape. This large shade tree has blue-green leaves in summer that turn a lovely soft yellow in fall which plays a nice contrast against its rugged, scaly bark.
