Grower Talk: July at the Nursery

SGN Field Notes

July has brought it's A-game with the sunshine and the heat!

"The trees have been soaking up some sunshine and heat which is adding some good growth and caliper." ~ Becky Thomas of SGN Trees

Let's take a peek at what's been going on at the nursery this month!

Pruning Oak Trees

The nursery has been removing the tree stakes from the oak trees to let them bend and "flex" around a bit, they prune and also will re-stake any trees that need it. Seen here is Jamie Thomas of SGN Trees pruning and finishing up Chinkapin Oaks that will be ready for next Spring's dig.
