It is probably the hardiest Sugar Maple and is the best choice for northern areas. It provides reliable fall color which is unrivaled by any other tree, and there is no substitute for their vivid fall display.

Green Mountain® Sugar Maple is a versatile tree that can be planted almost anywhere in the yard. Because of its beautiful shape and color, this tree will become the focal point of your landscape. This tree should be planted at least 20ft from buildings and is also a perfect choice for open areas in the back or front yard. 

What it needs:

Since Sugar Maples are native to many areas in the US, they thrive in almost any circumstance. It is one of the toughest, most adaptable shade trees on the market. Be sure to follow our watering guidelines for the first few growing seasons until the root system is well-established.
