Shawnee Brave™ Bald Cypress has the appearance of an evergreen tree, but it will actually lose its needle-like leaves in the fall after they turn a brilliant copper color. Shawnee Brave™ Bald Cypress has an outstanding coppery fall color and a soft droopy needle which adds texture to the landscape. This tree is a spectacular narrow giant. The needles on the Shawnee Brave™ Bald Cypress are longer and thinner than the Bald Cypress, which makes for a more droopy look overall.

Where to put it:

Shawnee Brave™ Bald Cypress is often planted in the same locations as an evergreen tree would normally be planted, along property lines, at the corner of a property, as a focal point in a yard. Shawnee Brave™ Bald Cypress's narrow size makes it a great tree for tight spaces. They are great for adding privacy and screening to your yard. Our Shawnee Brave™ Bald Cypress are trimmed up to around 4-5 ft from the ground, these would also be great in the parkway's to add shade to streets and homes. Shawnee Brave™ Bald Cypress grows excellent in wet locations and can actually help remove wet spots from the yard. Native to the wetlands of the South, Shawnee Brave™ Bald Cypress also does surprisingly well in dryer soils and urban climates. Shawnee Brave™ Bald Cypress is all around a fantastic tree.
