Fort McNair Horsechestnut

Fort McNair Horsechestnut is an attractive, medium-sized, round, shade tree. In spring it will show off its large cluster of beautiful pink blooms, followed by golden leaves in the fall. The Fort McNair Horsechest is loved by hummingbirds. Unlike most other flowering trees, Fort McNair Horsechestnut will bloom after it's leaves have fully covered the tree, in the late Spring. Its green leaves make the pink flowers really pop. 

Where to put it: 

Fort McNair Horsechestnut's bright show-stopper qualities make this a great tree for shade as well as beauty. We recommend that it be planted at least 10 feet away from buildings. Fort McNair would be great in a backyard for shade and charm near a patio, as well as the front yard to accent the home. Fort McNair Horsecchestnut will standout planted within flower beds or even standing brilliantly by itself. Planted outside a window will bring hours of watching Hummingbirds come.
